About TranscendByDesign
Why this exists, who built it, and what we're trying to do.
The premise
Enterprise software companies have been quietly raising prices and deepening complexity for years. AI is now another lever they're using to charge more. Meanwhile, small businesses — the customers who could most benefit from AI assistance — can't afford the $200,000+ annual contracts that enterprise vendors require.
TranscendByDesign exists to close that gap. Eight integrated AI-powered operations tools at small business prices, sold by someone who actually answers the email.
Who built this
TranscendByDesign was built by a single founder — 30 years of experience in learning & development, customer service, knowledge management, and quality. A Master's in Education and a long career inside corporate operations means the products are built from the inside-out: not what an engineer thinks operations teams need, but what an operations practitioner knows they need.
The codebase was written by one person over an intense seven-week period, AI-assisted but human-directed. Every product decision, pricing structure, and customer policy reflects what the founder would want as a buyer.
How we work
Founder-led
Customer emails go to a real person who reads them. No gatekeeping, no chat-bot triage. The same person who wrote the code answers your question.
Capped on purpose
Early-adopter and founding-member tiers are limited to 100 customers combined. Past that we charge full price. We're not trying to be the biggest — we're trying to be the best for our specific people.
Lock-in that helps you
Lock in a price tier on your first product. That price applies to every product you ever add. We're betting on serving you for years, not extracting value in the next quarter.
Transparent
What we charge, how we built it, where the data lives, who has access — published openly. No moving goalposts, no hidden tiers, no AppSumo gotchas.
What we're not
We're not raising venture capital. We're not trying to grow at all costs. We're not building an exit narrative. We're not going to pivot to something else next year because the market shifted.
What we are: a small, focused, profitable operation aiming to serve a few hundred customers exceptionally well, for a long time.
"The goal isn't to be the biggest software company. The goal is to build something useful, support the people who pay for it, and be the kind of business I would want to buy from."
